Note: please keep in mind that while the error message may be the same, it causes are not. Here are some common workarounds. You may need to try some or all of these.
Anti Popup SoftwareThese programs can interfere and cause problems. A popup program is designed to eliminate those windows that open when you go to websites. However it can cause problems too. In trying to block these popups it can shut down the scripts too.
Web ProxiesProxy servers act as go betweens between an IP address and the website. It renders users anonymous, hence its popularity. But it can interfere with websites when loading scripts.
The best way to avoid this problem is not to use a proxy. If you must use one, try another proxy server. There are several websites that list these servers. Choose another one. Be patient when looking for servers that are compatible with web pages and scripts. Although numerous, their quality varies.
The only thing you can do is send an email to the webmaster. Be sure that you have checked out all other possibilities first though. Only when you are certain that the problem is with the website should you notify the webmaster.
Script Disabled in BrowsersAnother possible reason why the page doesn’t load right is that your scripts are disabled. If you are using Internet Explorer go to the Tools menu and choose Internet Options. Go to Security and choose “Custom Level”. Scroll through the list until you see “scripting”. Click to enable it.
Browser Upgrade NeededSometimes the answer lies in an upgrade. The script may be written for a new browser. If yours is old, it might not be able to display the features in the new script. In this case, an upgrade is the only option.
