I'm desperately trying to find out how set up my site so that when visitors speaking a different language go to my site they are given the option to translate the entire website into their own language. The only code I can find for google's translate element requires that the code be inserted into EVERY webpage and that the user click the drop down menu and select their language for EVER page. This is incredibly annoying! Is there any way to translate the entire website (every page) without requiring the vistor to select their language from a drop down menu every time???? PLEASE HELP! |
Hi Tyler, If you put the Element on every page this will work. With the caveat that there's a bug with Chrome right now causing this not to work in that browser, but we'll get that fixed as soon as we can. Hi Josh, I have noticed that having the element on each page removes the need to re-translate the pages on some computers but not others, even if they are using the same version of browser. in this case, IE8. Would this have something to do with permissions on the actual PC? Also, I just checked my site again in multiple browsers firefox, IE, Safari etc and the drop down language box is not showing loading at all? would this be because of updates at your end? Thanks PPP |
